Hesitates too much to throw the right hand.

Even when he has plenty of opportunity to do it and over power his opponent which he is more then capable of doing, he just won't throw it. He would much rather play it safe.

Wouldn't say having a high ko ratio counted for killer instinct anyway.

            Clottey

He could have stopped cotto if he had any sort of killer instinct

Actually, I think that he just has some misconceptions about the way fights are scored. It seems like he thinks that judges actually score fights on defense. Check out his fight against Corrales, though. He brutalized Chico for 10 rounds there, and stayed on the inside. He showed an animal inside him, but you're right he needs to open up. I don't know if he can tell how good his chin really is, because he seems...not afraid, but hesitant to get hit with too many shots when he opens up. That's another issue with him.

I see what you mean with the bolded part

Its a shame he didnt open up more, hes an accurate puncher and as strong as an ox

His ko ratio was rather unflattering but margarito said he hits harder than cotto,he definitly has power solid

Joshua Clottey was the first to come to mind.
