He was dropped in round seven, however, and subsequently suffered a detached retina and three more knockdowns in round eleven, before losing the world title by a twelve round unanimous decision.

A detactched retina is not the same as being blind. That's number one. Number two, you do realize Reid had fights after Trinidad don't you?

Barrera really did a number on Hamed broke his will to be a boxer while still in his 20s. Ali caused Forman a lot of problems the way he beat him.

Physically, he was there, but the hunger and fire was gone, and mentally, he was never the same fighter. I still think that he is one of the GOAT Heavyweights to ever lace up gloves.

              Everyone have a great day.
I'd say it's more the other way round.. Look what happened to Douglas.

Geez. I don't think Hatton was that good. He had a lot of trouble with Collazo and Urango. He was undefeated but he didn't fight anyone. To be honest, I was somewhat surprised that he was as competitive as he was with Floyd.

PS. JLC was well past him prime when he fought Hatton.

I think it is too early to tell. He could win decisively against Foremen. It's not like the guy has slurred speech and acts like he has a traumatic brain injury.

Malignaggi was considered very good, back then. He had only one loss (to Cotto) and had just been a titleholder before he vacated it to fight Hatton.
Umm... I am not sure if you recall this, but Hatton beat Malignaggi after Floyd.

So you still think Hatton was "never the same?"
