James Toney vs Bernard Hopkins: How does this fight play out

Im assuming both of these guys are in their prime:
Prime Toney: The Toney who fought Barkley
Prime Hopkins: The Hopkins who fought Johnson

The fight is at some at a smw catchweight:
    19
    Prime Toney
    89.47%
    17
    Prime Hopkins
    10.53%

I would be quite confident that Toney takes it, Hopkins never beat a master boxer.

Toney's fights with McCallum and Nunn would have prepared him for what any boxer would bring to the table .

Hopkins never had to face a skilled competitor like Toney (Winky is skilled, but not a complete fighter), and the main advantage he always had is skills, we don't know how he would when meeting someone who matches him in that dimension.

Imo BHop always knew that he can not win against a focused Toney. The young Hopkins would have better chances to get a UD against Toney, than the wiser and older version.

But Toney has too much Power, Speed and is just a better spontanious boxer with more talent. Easy Ud for Toney.

I'm with everyone else, if Toney comes in focused he has more skill and talent than Hopkins, and that's what makes the difference.

Hopkins by a hug&butt decision win as the ref just won't DQ him

Hopkins was still a no-name when Toney was on top of the world, then by the time he became a champion Toney had long moved on to higher weight divisions.

back in 93 when Toney was the ibf mw champ, Jones was his no 1 mando and Hopkins was his no 2 mando. Im not sure what happened to the Jones-Toney fight at mw, but Toney said it wasnt worth fighting a no name like Hopkins, so he moved up to fight Barkley at smw.

Hopkins pulled out of the proposed Hopkins Toney fight back in 2003
