Well I'm one of these guys who wont judge a fighter till I've seen him boxing.......and I dont think any film of him exists, well I've not come across any.

Arnold Cream AKA Jersey Joe Walcott felt he had considerable greatness to inspire his own adopted name. I remember an interview with Jersey Joe where he said that the original 'Barbados Demon Joe Walcott' was one of of these hit and move types, hard to hit (like a ghost), who would frustrate opponents whilst stabbing them with blows from all sorts of strange angles.

      Must have been good!

Yeah this guy was a giant killer, but I heard his style was more like henry armstrongs than a hitter n mover. Wish there was footage of him.

You may be right about his style sleazy. I doubt that Jersey Joe Walcott actually got to see him fight, judging by them being many decades apart......

I think "Jersey" might have been born after "Barbados" retired

                  You'd be right mate....

I suppose in the days before fight films alot of a boxer's legend was based on reports, hearsay and results. Jersey Joe obviously considered him an idol regardless.
