since 1978, they was so much buzz about Gomez fighting Zarate that my father wanted me to watch and explain me how the fight was built up, was hooked after that fight. Used to see a lot of great fights on free TV

Fought in the amateurs and now I train other youngsters. Would love to train full time

Started watching boxing as a 5-6 year old in 1990 with my pops and grandfather. 20 years. Consciously following it is a bit different....probably middle '90s when Whitaker was in his Welterweight days.

I got addicted during the Ali era for me too, around 1976 I stated buying reading the Ring mag religiously and had to watch every fight on tv. But for years before that it was my favorite sport, it just wasn't an obsession.

              about a year or so.

but since its me 1 year would be about the same as a normal person following it for 20 years.

I liked to watch boxing when I was fairly young. 25 years of actually following what is going on, I'm 33.

what does my life have to do with my learning curve? I have a very boring life, perhaps because i spend so much time learning.

I know, I watched a fight on TV with my father as far back as 1961, but it wasn't until he took me to my first pro show in '63, that I really got hooked... so that's 47 years.
