Mayweather would have to grow horns to be the goat.....and that's about as likely to happen as Floyd growing balls.

Nah. I don't think it's possible for Mayweather to become the G.O.A.T. or even top 5 with the fights available to him (and the fights that have been available to him throughout his career).

And that's not even accounting for his now somewhat cynical approach to his boxing legacy.

Beating those two would launch him above the likes of Roy Jones Jnr, Julio Cesar Chavez, Manny Pacquiao and probably Sweet Pea as the greatest since Ray Leonard, Duran, etc. though, for me.

        man....

ray leonard defeated hearns, hagler, duran and benitez but he is still nowhere near any legit top 10 ranking out there...

Floyd would have to clean out 147, move up and establish dominance at 154, and win a middleweight belt to crack the top 15 most likely. Henry Armstrong dominated multiple divisions at the same time. Sugar Ray Robinson cleaned out multiple divisions and beat middleweights as a welterweight. Fighters today can't really matchup to that.
            Tommy Hearns? Top 10?

Mosley is not a that great of a win, and I've been saying this before that fight. He never even cleared out a division let alone clear out the top 5.

No, Floyd is on vacation when it's time to fight and his opponents are carefully chosen to be either past prime or way past prime. He has also ducked some good fighters and finally his lost to Castillo " everybody knows Floyd lost that fight ". When you add all those weaknesses he will be lucky to be considered for a Top 20 ATG. IMO he needs to beat Pacquiao who started his career at 105 before he even thinks of being a Top 20 ATG. He will never be the GOAT.

Pretty much agreed that would make him the best since Duran for me as well. Being the best fighter in like a 30 year span is an incredible achievement.

If he stays until his 40s and compiles a record similar to Duran's. Then I would have to think about it some more. Still not the GOAT I guess.
