Which Klitschko will be rated higher?

I wouldn't outright pick Wlad, but Id say his jab and right hand have more than enough on them to open up Vitali. Also head to head matchups don't determine who will be remembered as the better fighter. Joe Louis ranks higher on ATG lists than many HWs who could conceivably beat him in a head to head matchup.

It's pretty good indication since the better fighter usually wins. While in theory anything can happen in a one-off fight, I would favor Vitali to beat Wlad 8 or 9 times out of 10 with Wlad getting 1 or 2 on cuts.

- Vitali has a far better chin than Wlad
- Vitali has far better stamina than Wlad
- Vitali has a much higher workrate than Wlad
- Vitali is tougher than Wlad

In the face of those overwelming advantages for Vitali Wlad's slightly more polished technique isn't going to help him. Simply put, Vitali is a MUCH better fighter than Wlad.

You don't think Vitalis layoff will play a factor in how he is remembered? I agree that Vitali would probably take Wlad in a fight, but I would give Wlad a better chance against a Floyd Patterson, Larry Holes, or Ali type fighter than Vitali.

Depends how much longer each of them fight. Vitali is showing signs of decline and will likely only fight one or two more times. While Wlad seems to still be at his best.

Vitali is a better fighter IMO, but Wlad has a better resume and hence he'll be ranked higher. By the time he's done he'll probably have 20 or more title defenses.
