He is possibly the greatest ever in his weight division, with also the record of defenses of the lineal title. Hard to beat that.

Monzon was the greatest middlewieght ever! he never lost his title in the ring, was unbeaten in something like his last 100 fights, never knocked out or stopped! he beat 4 hall of famers along the way. Also if they would of fought a prime monzon would stop hearns inside ten rounds. I am also one of the few people on this forum who agreed with you that hearns should be ranked higher than burley, thats how high i rate hearns but he was not as good as king of the middleweights carlos monzon

Hearns was amazing, but Monzon a little bit better imo.

Hearns winning titles in 6 different weight classes is an amazing achievement for sure, however Monzon reign as middleweight is probably the most dominant ever in that class(imo outshines Hopkins by far)

also, Hearns chin made him lose some of the biggest fights in his career(he won a bunch aswell i know) whereas Monzon just didnt lose at all(except early in his career, on points)
