  • Why Did The NSAC Pass Ali To Fight Holmes?

Watching a doc before the fight. And Ali was given a pre fight test, and he could barley touch his finger to his nose a few times, and struggled to bounce on one knee.

So why the hell, did the NSAC pass Ali, to fight Holmes? When it was clear he wasnt a well man?

He was talking slow, moving slow, fighting slow. And before the fight, Ali cound't even do the speed properly.

He shound't of been passed to fight Holmes.

It saddens me Ali, didnt retire after the 3rd Frazier fight.

Not saying it was right, it was a disgrace but that's the answer to the question.
I think the people in Ali's camp are even more guilty than the NSAC, they most have known more than anyone he was struggling. They should have taken the decision away from the NSAC and not allowed him to even be tested.
It's just very very sad, having just watched Facing Ali the fact that hit home was these fellows having to speak for Ali because he can't.
I think an older more reflective Ali who wasn't being manipulated any more by the Nation of Islam could have been such a force for good in his retirement years.
Such a shame we will never know.

maybe, but it was also alis choice to fight, he wanted the money..

i see why fighters take the lower risk fights which generate also good money nowadays

One thing with Ali, he won alot of bouts he supposedly had no chance of winning. People, when he came back to fight still believed he would do it with Holmes.
Just imagine if boxingscene was around then! The nsb would be ablaze with topic after topic.

they would have opened threads like "ali is done", "foreman will kill", after his loss to norton.

it was terrible and whoever gave him the go-ahead to fight needs to be immediately arrested and imprisoned
