    Michael carbajal

Growing up here in AZ dude was a legend. Me and my dad would go crazy watching his fights. Especially the wars he had with Chiquita. It's sad now the guy has nothing because of his own brother who took everything from him. Dude was so crazy talented and had crazy punch for that weight class. T bear you made me make this thread because you asked me about him being one of my fav fighters and he's in my top 15 ever. People forget he beat arce his last fight also...What's your guy's is opinion on him?

Carbajal was great. He beat Gonzalez three times IMO!

Carbajal did something I don't think any fighter had ever done, beat a future champion in his first and last fights. He turned pro by beating future champion Will Grisby and in his last fight beat Jorge Arce who went on to win titles himself.

He was incredible. Very exciting guy to watch. I have Gonzalez ahead of him but they are neck and neck really.

Their first fight was fascinating. Gonzalez was meant win on inside and Carbajal on the outside, but it was the complete opposite. Whenever Gonzalez sat outside and boxed he beat the ****e out of Carbajal and whenever he lay inside he got hammered! If he had just sat outside he would have either knocked MC out or won an easy decision, but he kept going inside even though he was getting caught with huge shots.

          Great fight though.

youre right there. carbajal had trouble from the outside because chiquita was turning southpaw.

he had a lot of trouble dealing with, and was getting blitzed.
