Crazy, crazy. Makes you wonder what Douglas might have been if he was always the guy that showed for Tyson.
20 years today since Douglas knocked out Tyson

I saw the Holyfield fights live and they still piss me off to this day. I wish Tyson would have kicked both of that bitches knees in then kneed him in the face when he went down. Holyfield was straight up cheating and I think a DQ wouldn't have been out of line.
I watched all the other fights live on PPV and they weren't good. Tyson didn't show up and he honestly looked like he was moving slow motion. It was obvious to me that he was on some kind of tranquilizer and had no business being in the ring.
Williams and McBride were both Journeymen fighters and they made Tyson look like an amateur. Even in the fights that he won after Holyfield he looked pitiful, and with the exception of Golota, they were all bums.Comment

20 years already huh. You know a lot of people will say it was like it was yesterday? Not for me, it seems like eternity. A HELL of a long time ago imo. Almost brings a tear to my eye(Ok maybe not that haha but it was one the greatest heavyweight fights ever imo because of the drama). If Tyson hit him with that uppercut a minute or two earlier in that round, who knows what the outcome would have been. No man except for Douglass has ever gotten back up from a Tyson knock down and went on to defeat him. Douglass' biggest luck was that the round was over so Tyson did not get a chance to finish him(And I believe this is a neglected fact because people are more into the whole long count thing). And again, Tyson is one of the best finishers ever in boxing. No man has gotten back up from the canvas to beat him(Except for Douglass).
Anyway, enough of this trip down memory lane lol.Comment

No I'm not. I hate Douglass not because he won, but because of what he did afterwards. He took a paycheck against Holyfield, was poleaxed into retirement and then almost died of diabetes. All he did was rob us of the immense fight between Holyfield and Tyson, and didn't even put up a fight against holyfield(That could have been one hell of a fight as well if Douglass was determined as before).
I would have rather seen Holyfield be the one to beat Tyson for the first time that way instead of some guy that had 1 great fight and then blew his career away.Comment
