Though I've been a huge boxing fan for many years, I'm also relatively new to boxingscene. As I'm not really interested in several hundred posts saying pretty much the same thing about Pacquiao-Mayweater, I'm mostly here in the history section... where I enjoy reading what sensible, knowledgeable people have to say about different subjects. You know, people who can express an opinion without having to use words like "idiot", "moron" or "nuthugger" in every other sentence!

Therefore, it's very frustrating to see, how certain people are doing their utmost to spoil the fun for the rest of us! People who are obviously only in here to pick a fight, so they can find someone to badmouth in never-ending discussions... thus ruining what could otherwise have been enjoyable, interesting threads.

And then there are those, who get some childish pleasure out of simply being different! They will start some absurd thread, where they, against better knowledge (at least I hope so!), make some ludicrous statement ("SRR wasn't really that good and spent his whole career fighting nothing but bums")... in the hope that some of us will take the bait.

There ought to be some sort of "moron-filter", so the most ridiculous posts automatically got weeded out, but since this of course isn't possible, how about this: Instead of entering into futile discussions with these people, why not simply ignore them? I mean completely! If we never responded to their nonsense, wouldn't their posts die out and wither away much quicker? Just a thought.

          ^^He really doesn't, mate.

Tell me Bundana, how shocked were you when you saw people in here who don't see SGR and Louis as immortal, flawless boxing Gods? Did it hurt and feel completely unnatural? Does it go against everything you were ever spoonfed about the sport of boxing?

Your problem is slimey you don't really put much up. I'd have far more respect if you said I believe Greb was the greatest pfp fighter because..... But you won't and if anyone else pushed Greb forward you'd picks holes in them. Just the way you are I guess

i respect the website...hell i might only be 17 and only been here since september 09 but i think all the bad stuff started happening when the talks and build up to the Mayweather/Pacqiuao fights were up....then it got really out of hand in my opinion....i might not be old school BUT i wish all the arguments and constant names being chucked around like "*****s" or "*******s" wernt bein constantly used 24/7...anyways Good post (y)

I used to do that before. But like I said in another thread, it would be a waste of time now because it doesn't matter who I bring up that I think is better. I'm a fast learner. It will be seen as redicilous and unnatural to these nuthuggers.

I think that's the only problem this forum has. It's not nuthuggers or haters or constant flaming. It's the lack of BALANCE. And that is what I try to bring but I get condemned for it.

Well it must have been before my time as its not something i've seen you do unfortunately. I would certainly be more inclined to read your posts were you to revert to that approach.
No one ever gets criticised for trying to bring balance but if that is what you are trying to do why not do it in a more contructive and less agressive way?
