    How big was the commonwealth belt back in the days?

    just doing some research into it after argueing with my pops bout it.

    any help would be appreciated fellas

    Back when there was only 1 world title belt the commenwealth title was a good title to win. it ment alot more back when there was one world title, but it is still going strong now and has alot of respect as alot of great fighters have held that title

      I agree, there was a time when having a Commonwealth, European or even a Nabf title would qualify a fighter for the title. This was long before there was 1000 minor belts. I guess you can say it got deluted. Now there are junior-interContinental-Continental-interium-youth-abc belts for every main event. But there was a time when somebody would be challanging for a title and someone would say he's the Commonwealth champ and it meant something to boxing fans.
