  • Ali 64 ( Liston1 ) vs Frazier 71

When i watch Ali vs Liston 1, it was impossible for Liston to hold Ali on the ropes, while in 70s Ali nearly did allways the rope-a-dope.
Alis jab was more powerfull before they Lay off and Fraziers face looked rly bad after their first fight.
Who would win? and explain why..

Ali (Clay) would win by UD due to his mobility and fast hands

Ali 1964 by close decision for me.

I would not be suprised if it would have been his toughest fight to date though, hell if Banks could knock Ali down with a left hook in 1962 and Cooper with a left hook in 1963, you'd be crazy to think that the 1971 version of Frazier wouldn't have been able to do so also.

I think that the Ali of 1967 was a fair bit better than the Ali of 1964, I would expect a wider decision from the peak Ali. Either way Frazier would give him a tough fight!

Because he had his "Man-Body"...he was stronger/thicker looking.

For TS question: ALI and I'll take the '66 or '67 Ali as well for my more favored version.

I know it pre-dates Frazier's biggest win but I think 1969 was about his prime.

Still, Peak vs. Peak....I'm still taking Ali by decision. Whether it be UD or Split...Ali Wins in my opinion. I think Ali could stay on the outside enough early-mid rounds to gather up some points and continue to do well enough through the rest of the fight to win the fight. Ali would start to tire though like the Chuvalo fight but Ali would still pull it out. Ali would have to worry about the left-hook though when in close and in the exchange. One thing with Frazier, he isn't afraid to throw the left-hook when you are punching...so when Ali is punching in punching distance, Frazier has a chance to catch him.
