    Jake LaMotta

I tried to fit in all the available footage and it went on a bit long, over 20 minutes. LaMotta was rarely in a boring fight.

I rank la motta as was one of the greatest one thing i dont under stand is when people say he avoided charley burley, la motta beat holman williams and land faced loyd marshal who were just as good and just as avoided as burley. Also i think la motta and burley is any one's fight.

LaMotta was a very good fighter, whats often overlooked is that he was a huge underdog to beat Marcel Cerdan, LaMotta wrestled Cerdan to the canvas in the opening round and Cerdan injured his shoulder which ment LaMotta won the title from a guy with only one arm, Cerdan retired at the end of round 10 due to the shoulder injury, he died in a plane crash on his way to the USA for their return fight... i have watched quite alot of Marcel Cerdan fight footage and IMO Cerdan would have beaten LaMotta, he was an incredible fighting machine

        Vouch.

Great video though TheGreatA. I watched the whole thing. I liked the ending the best. Best music, and it fit well with the massacre.

I have watched Cerdan as well but I guess I'm not as impressed as you two. LaMotta was pretty much murdering Cerdan even before the injury and from then on it was painfully one-sided.

The fight hadn't gone on very long... Do you think Timothy Bradley was "murdering" Nate Campbell before the stoppage?

After the cut, yes. But LaMotta was all over Cerdan even before Cerdan injured his arm.

Lets not forget that Cerdan wasn't exactly young at that point and LaMotta was in the best shape he probably ever was, since the early/mid 1940's atleast.

Cerdan injured his shoulder in the first round, when Lamotta threw him to the ground. Lamotta did give Cerdan a beating, but Cerdan was a one armed fighter.

Before the Cerdans shoulder went, the fight hand't even gone past a round. Lamotta wasn't murdering him with two arms.......

LaMotta beat him up in the first round and then threw him down. The strength difference seemed to be too much, LaMotta was walking through him.

Cerdan also wasn't exactly a one-armed fighter, he did use the left although perhaps not to its full extent.

I simply don't see how you can guage how the entire fight was going to go from the first minute. I've seen greats get beat up by bums in the first minute of a fight. Anyways, did you get my PM?
