Mando Ramos vs Sugar Ramos - Very good fight with Mando building an early lead, hurting Sugar a few times in the first few rounds but he got cut badly in the third, Sugar started coming on in the second half of the fight by putting more pressure on him and had Mando in some trouble in the 7th, the fight featured some great exchanges and dramatic moments. Even though Mando won, he didn't look like the winner at the end of the fight.

Phillip Holiday vs Ivan Robinson - What a workrate, this fight was similar to the recent Yohnny Perez vs Joseph Agbeko fight, great workrate with very good skills backing it up. Great display of body punching with Holiday as well. Holiday also landed a record 555 punches on Robinson....ouch.

Clarence 'Bones' Adams vs Paulie Ayala 1 - Tit for tat action throughout the fight, when one guy would do something, the other would respond in kind. Close fight with close rounds but I thought Adams won, Ayala ended up winning a SD, Ayala had Adams hurt pretty bad in the 2nd, Adams also suffered a pretty bad cut later in the fight from an accidental headbutt, Adams hurt both hands early in the fight.

Satoshi Hosono vs Hiroyuki Enoki - Possibly the best all Japanese fight of 2009 (I thought Cazares-Nashiro was a better fight that was fought in Japan but Cazares is Mexican), good 2 way action, both guys fought through pretty bad swelling on their eyes and both were stunned or hurt at various points of the fight.

I remember Enoki's eyes swelled grotesquely in that fight as well, and John ended up getting like 70 stitches for a cut under his eye. Good show of powerpunching from Enoki then a good show of boxing by John.
