    Boxers Who Became MMA Fighters..

Funny how some formidable boxers turn to MMA during the twilight of their careers.. Here's a few

    Frans Botha
    Ray Mercer
    James Warring
    Arthur Williams
    Shannon Briggs
    Eric Ersch (BB)

Some of these guys have since made returns to the Boxing ring, with slower feet (after gettig their legs kicked to ***!)

Ironically, 5 out of the 6 mentioned won versions of the World title..

    How did they get on?..
    Who have I left out?

I know that Botha stopped Jerome Le Banner and Mercer KTFO Tim Sylvia..
I can remember watching Warring to.. He got into Cage fighting and looked pretty good at it, but I don't know how he panned out..
Can also recall watching Williams being literally kicked up in the air, by some big Russian guy called 'The Scorpian'..
Don't know how Briggs fared though, & I'd imagine Bean just fell on his guts & rocked himself to sleep lol..

    Thoughts, lists and comments please

    Jeremy Williams

Roberto Duran, Trevor Berbick and Matthew Saad Muhammad participated in fixed MMA bouts.

I believe Briggs only had one kickboxing fight against a wrestler whom he KO'd with ease.

James Warring was respected but Jeremy Williams is doing very well and stopped all his opponents and even won a fight by submission.

I forgot about Williams.. He has a blackbelt in Judo and there's a vid around somewhere of him TWICE slamming Lennox Lewis to the canvas, during a sparring session.. Lewis got the right hump!
I loved watching him fight to.. Incredibly talented, with a useful dig.. Sloppy defense and a weak chin let him down though.. Thanks for the input..

Interesting list.. Doesn't surprise me with Pulver & Belfort as both like the stand up game..

Don't forget Marcus Davies, he's a fun guy to watch go to work.
