He also drew with Sandy Ferguson whom Johnson toyed with several times. In Feb 1910 Langford lost to Jim Flynn whom Johnson had no trouble beating twice .
Davidson of The LA Herald gave Flynn the newspaper decision, saying Langford's face at the end was a bloody mess.

After the Battle Jim fiasco, French Feds strip JJ to put his title up for Joe vs Sam. At some point they award their title back to JJ, but it's so gratuitously schizophrenic, it hardly matters as to it pertains to the fighters where JJ was ducking Joe and Sam.

NOPE The French Federation stripped Johnson a month before he fought Battling Jim and then stripped their new champ Langford and reinstated Johnson! You can't get ONE THING right can you!
