    Kevin Kelly "Warrior"

Wars with Troy Dorsey, Alejandro Gonzalez, Gainer, Hamed.

    Fought the best.....................Morales, Barrera.

I watched his fight with Soto fight today because i wanted to see how an old Kevin Kelly managed to beat Soto and it was a very close fight that i thought Kelly just edged out, he was 35 at the time.

The fight with Gonzalez was stopped in the 10 because Kelly could not see but what a war that fight was, great fight. I had Kelly winning the fight to, although Gonzalez was all over him before it was stopped.

The Gainer v Kelly fight was an unbelievable fight knockdowns a plenty, it finished with a brutal KO.

Never seen the Dorsey fight but i know it was a complete war because ive seen HL of it. Kelly was clearly past his best against Morales, Barrera.

Hamed fight was a classic mini war to, great fight.

Kelly was in some wars but he was also in some terribly boring fights most notably............Bones Adams, Gainer 2. I would not recommend anyone to watch either of those fights, sleepers.

His 1993 126 pound title win over Goyo Vargas was also a tremendous fight. One fight I will always remember Kelley for is his March 31, 1995 fight against little known Ricardo Rivera on ESPN. Kelley was getting completely outboxed and was way behind on all three scorecards when he score a one punch kayo in the 9th round to win(it was a 10 round fight). Three years ago, Kelley also upset Carlos Hernandez, his last significant win.

      Yeah?

I dont have those fights but i will try to get them, cheers, they sound like typical Kelly fights. Was surprised he managed to drop Gonzalez.

What would you say Kelly's weaknesses were besides being drawn into a fight ? I dont think he followed his strategy and deviated from the game plan a lot, maybe that is why his trainer was always giving him the Teddy Atlas pep talk and why he was always so animated in the corner, what do you think.

His ego would always seem to get the best of him, especially in the Hamed fight. If he only boxed Hamed, he could have won. Instead, he got suckered into a street fight.

Id say more than likely, Herol Graham still gets spoken about in fond terms on many sites and he never even won a title, Judah was Undisputed Champ at one point.

There might even be one for Tata
