Would Mike Tyson be simply too small for the heavyweight s now.?
    Would he struggle?
IMO, he's still too a degree successful, but his talent only takes him so far.

Let the Tyson myth die. He was a decent, B-level HW in his day, he'd be a decent B-Level HW now, and he would have been a decent B-level HW in any era. He was brilliantly hyped up as an unbeatable force, had the build and young age to match the hype, he was brilliantly matched, but like all B level guys, when they face other B level guys, they are 50-50 fights, and often win based on the stylistic match-up.

Douglas, a fellow B-level guy, was a bad match-up for Tyson due to having a better jab, better movement, and excluding power, an overall better skillset, proving by the fact he won all but 1 round on the cards of anyone with eyes, and also, was not afraid of Tyson. That was also key to Holyfield's success, he bullied the bully. Nash out.

Tyson is in fact near the perfect size for a heavyweight. His main problem was that he suffered from similar stamina problems to the super galoots. The division will soon see a terrific flowering of 200 lbs heavyweights again, as it should be, by buggery.

I think that YouTube’s Modern Martial Artist said it best. In every era of giants, there will always be giant slayers. Look at our era’s Andy Ruiz, for instance. He found a way to score a TKO victory over AJ. Who’s to say Mike Tyson at his best couldn’t do the same.

          - - Andy much more mass than either Mike or AJ, the biggest one of the bunch.

Sure, but Mike probably still had the power to pull it off. I do see your point though.
