Who put the liniment in Clay/Ali's Eyes vs Liston?

Seen the fight several times. Clay shows no discomfort during was it 4th Rd. He sits down and getshis face toweled and only then does he show his eyes were burning. I recall NOI people were said to want to go after Dundee believing he did it. I don't think he ever would've deliberately. But if Lison did it it why did Ali react only after getting his face toweled. We can see Bundini putting something in his eyes to test it as Clay goes out for 5th Rd. So it apparently causes immediate reaction.

Could have been liniment that did not get into Ali’s eyes until it was spread by the application of water. Perhaps of his forehead from contact with Listons gloves/shoulder etc. There is no reason to believe Dundee would do anything to upset the career of his big moneymaker.

Yeah, there were a lot of conspiracy theories over Dundee at the time.
