You would be suprised... Toney can look and be menacing, but thats only part of his character. There is a story about him playing Frazier in an HBO movie or something about Ali... Will Smith had not met him and had reservations about him... Being hurt in the ring and all... Toney apparently told Smith, I won't harm you and turned out to do an excellent job of it. Toney is an amazingly clean fighter...He does not do more than necessary, does not seem blood thirsty.
To me, Toney is like Mozart in the boxing ring. An incredible instinct combined with an economy of movement... beautiful to watch, inspiring that the human body and mind can work that well together in movement and technique. Hints of Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore... Just inspiring to watch.
- -Toss him in a supersized bag of caramelized popcorn and Kentucky Fried, guaranteed he aint fightin' his way out, but give him enough time, have to split open the top to roll him out asleep with nary a sign of any surviving morsel...
