Only if it was a 15 rounder and Jones had stamina problems. Then it could happen. But Roy was always tough. Nah, I don't see Leonard knocking him out.

Last time I checked Hearns got hurt by a straight right in the 13 round but looked just fine until then,And what led to the stoppage in the 14th was an overhand right

So how does exhaustion come into play here?

Lalonde was a small LHW anyway

      Leonards killer instinct>>>>>>>>Roy Jones's

Hearns had never gone that many rounds before. Being such a puncher he didn't need to. And he always had a stamina problem.

You call a 6'2 175 guy small lhw?? He later fought at CW!

Roy had incredible legs that he used to keep him out of trouble and protect his chin,so unless Leonard could get to his chin i cannot see him winning, But Leonard also had great legs and they was better legs than any fighter Roy ever fought IMO Leonard would get him

This match is not fair. Leonard was a natural welterweight and Jones was a natural light heavyweight.

In terms of greatness, I say Sugar Ray Leonard. He beat the best of the best in his era.

Who cares if he had never gone the distance,He didn't lose because of stamina issues,He lost because he got hurt one,too many times and couldn't recover

What are you talking about? There's no way Leonard gets to his chin for one, as Jones' reactive style would demolish any attempts Sugar makes to be aggressive. He didn't show signs of a "weak" chin until he was 35, anyway.

Umm... so did Jones. He didn't lose a fight (the DQ doesn't count) until he was 35. And don't even get me started on the Hagler fight... Leonard did not win that fight!

Jones is just as fast, has more power, and is a larger man. At 160, Leonard maybe has a shot. At 168 or 175...no way.

Jones was the closest thing to unbeatable we've witnessed in generations. He should have retired after the Ruiz fight, or after he beat Tarver.

                  For legacy, Leonard >>>> Jones.

In a fight, Jones wins brutally.
