Dwight Muhammad Qawi tribute

Ok, now the time has come to pay tribute to THE CAMDEN BUZZSAW!! Was there ever a fighter like him?? A 5foot6 guy who stood toe-to-toe with guys twice as tall and beat them up. His most notable achievement is ending the reign of the great Matthew Saad. And how! It was one of the most one sided championship fights I've seen. And I'm a big Saad fan as you already know.

He might've been the first man to beat Holyfield as well. We will never know the truth. One thing is sure-Dwight was a great warrior and one of the greatest cruiserweights and light heavyweights ever. His final record doesn't do him justice.

Qawi was an underrated defensive fighter with his bobbing and weaving. he totally dominated James Scott and Saad. I was disappointed in his fight against Michael Spinks, but he did lose to one of the three greatest 175 pounders of all time. Qawi reminder me so much of Joe Frazier, and he left it all in the ring. A proud and worthy member of the IBHOF

No he did not give Michael Spinks his toughest fight as a LHW it was a virtual shut-out for Spinks.. Spinks was in a different League to Braxton, Michael Spinks said he knew that he would beat Braxton (Qawi) because he had loanded Braxton $40 and he never re-paid it.

Qawi was a tremendous fighter i have around 15 or more of his fights with my favourite being the Leon Spinks fight, it also has to be accepted that Mathew Saad Muhammad was only a `Shell` of the once great fighter he once was when he lost to Braxton..

Co-sign bold part. His defence was very underrated, he resented being called a pressure fighter if i remember saying he was more of a counter puncher etc. Speaking about his defence, Saad Muhammad's accuracy was shocking, ive seen Saad vs Conteh 2x, Lopez, Qawi 1+2, Johnson 1+2 and his accuracy ****** imo.

Yeah WTF, Spinks white washed Qawi, he never let Qawi inside once it was not remotley close, unless he is talking about Leon who he battered from pillow to post.
