But you could also say Freddie is somewhat of a "Johnny come lately" with a lot of his fighters, having only taken a few of them to World Titles on his own from the beginning. Guys like Tyson, Toney, Hopkins, Oscar ; they were all celebrated athletes before Freddie got to train them.

True but you could also say he managed to bring some of those guys back to the top when their careers had stagnated by maximizing their potential. Beristain hasn't really done that with too many fighters, not as many as Roach anyways.

IMO he does. He's trained several world champions and won trainer of the year a few times.
