I'm a fan of Lennox Lewis, he's the reason why I started boxing in the 90's. But just to let people know, I'm no nutthugger! I understand that he's not the greatest HW ever etc. and he had flaws.

I sort of grew to repect him over time.
I wasn't keen on him to start with as I felt he was an Englishman of convenience.
But he could fight no doubt about that, I would have loved to see him against a prime Tyson as I think it would have been a classic.

And that's just it: While I know a number of Lewis fans on Boxing Scene there are very few that I would describe as "nuthuggers". It's not like there's a "Lewis Mafia" running around this forum.

Spot **** On.. I've openly accused Sonnyboy of being a Lewis hater in the past.. Some of his posts inspired me to conduct a recent pole, Is Lennox Lewis Top 10..?.. Only he and one other deluded chap voted No..
Has an uncanny talent for being an eye witness to some Lewis predicaments no one else seems to have heard about.. Getting dropped by Ruiz??... Proof please...

Lennox Lewis was an oppotunist and nothing special, he beat Tyson 12yrs after Douglas had hammered him and 6yrs after Holyfield had beaten him.. Lewis avoided every heavyweight who was at the top of their game, choosing to fight bums instead.
Tucker, Botha, Golota, Morrison -- all junkies & steroid freaks.
Grant, Butler, Mavrovic, Fortune -- all bums class C fighters
David Tua - the fattest man to ever fight for the Title.
Akinwande, Briggs - pathetic
McCall rematch -- McCall only days out of rehab (pathetic)
Ruddock -- Damaged Goods after 2 brutal beatings from Tyson
Lewis priced himself out of a fight with Bowe in 93 & 95 by demanding options on Bowes next 5 fights should Lewis lose. he turned down $12 million and a gauranteed title shot against Tyson in 96 stepping aside and selling his position to Holyfield for a meagre $3 million, he done so because he knew that he was a one round KO for that version of Mike Tyson

also in the same publication around early 2001 check-out the Lewis / Lamon Brewster sparring session, that will bring tears to you and your 5 gang members eyes.

you could also get yourself a copy of the Lewis / Jeremy Williams sparring sessions and interviews that was aired on British TV the night of Lewis v Rahman (1) ... Williams tells some fasinating things about Lennox Lewis.

Yet i very much doubt you will check-out any of these as your just a little kid who is still in playground mode.

if you think anything i claim aint true then your welcome to prove me wrong... you definately proved me correct on the Lewis ducking Bowe claim, by kindly putting up a video for everyone to watch of Rid**** Bowe telling it like it happened... i am grateful to you for that one Kid
