  • Best left hook...

Who do you think had the best left hook of all time?

Damn, too many to choose from. Obviously Robinson comes to mind, so does Frazier and Tito. But it is pretty much impossible to tell, due to lack of real objectivity.

Norton had a terrific left hook to the body or head and there are very few fighters with as dramatic a left hook as Floyd Patterson.Mccallum's left hook was pretty damn good too

Fernando Vargas was perhaps best at being ruined by left hooks,Such a shame,I liked Vargas.Terrible loss to boxing

Too many to choose from, but to name a few:

          Frazier
          Robinson
          Tyson
          Tua
          Dempsey

Jack Dempsey would be my choice.

Honourable mentions: Tito Trinidad, Joe Frazier, David Tua and Oscar has a good and underrated left hook.

Marciano had a murderous double left hook to the body and the head.

Floyd Patterson perhaps described his lefty the best. "When I throw a left hook, I put ALL my weight behind it". And indeed. Perfectly balanced crouching position, explosive hip movement and final punch. It's as though you could see the force traveling from his feet to his fist.

Good call for Dempsey he had a great left hook but it doesn't seem to get mentioned much.
