I'll never understand how a man who made beating Sugar Shane look so easy could have such trouble with a cigarette smoking brawler like Ricardo Mayorga, that just makes no sense to me.

    HOF? I dunno.

    Either way, RIP Vernon.

      sorry brother
That's O'K. but why do you say that ??... Do you think his career to sparse ?.... just curious to know..... I'm certainly no expert on Vernon.

        Ray Oliveira
        Vince Phillips
        Shane Mosley (x2)
        Ike Quartey
        Carlos Baldomir
        Michele Piccirillo
        Sergio Mora

somebody posted these earlier as his best wins

        that honestly says enough

he was also not only stopped by ricardo mayorga (mayorga had very heavy hands and very good handspeed at WW,) he lost via decision in the rematch

and he lost via decision (albeit late i his career, and he avenged the loss) to sergio mora.

he's got two great wins aginst mosley

he was a monster puncher and he had mosley truly hurt and wobbled in his prime (i'm sure you don't need me to tell you how good shane's chin was)

and a win against a faded ike quartey coming off of a long layoff and only tune up fights (where he would struggle against the likes of verno phillips :/ )

in my humble opinion you have to keep guys like forrest out to maintain the integrity of the level of excellence in the hall of fame

he was, however, at his best, a very good WW.
