    Mando Ramos

Recently saw his 1970 classic battle against HOF'er Sugar Ramos. Mando threw combinations and had great heart. he is a two time Lightweight champ. I didn't start watching boxing until 1977, so I can only comment on this one performance. Can the older historians give me a honest appraisal of his ability and whether or not they feel he is worthy of one day being inducted into the IBHOF?

He was world champion at 17. I think thats the youngest guy to win a world title. Good fighter from what I hear. My dad used to watch him fight live... Mando Ramos is his favorite fighter

That title belongs to Wilfred Benitez.

You are correct. Mando won the title at 20.
