Wlad is a great great fighter. I know virtually all the Heavyweights down the line, and Wlad is up there as the best.

I can understand the animosity towards Ali and his politics and preening, Tyson with his thuggery and criminal behaviors and such.

Marc Lichenfeld in his program airing every thursday a couple weeks backed bigged up Wlad for the HOF which may be the first crack in the American media. The brothers could potentially beat any heavy who ever lived and sure be competitive at very least.

Here's a clip of Bert Sugar doubtless chapped by his crusted shorts blithering the most ****** stuff, and keep in mind this old fart and his crusty pals vote in a lot of these awards and recognitions in Ring, IBHOF, ect. Say's the heavies needs more Americans, not Russians because the division needs more KOs. Not that he knows the difference between a Russian and a Ukrainian.

Hello Bert, nobody beats Vitali's 94% KO and less than a handful beat Wlad's 84%:

His methodical approach in the ring is what turns everyone off. Its a style that has worked for him and is effective and has led him to the road hes been on to greatness within the sport. However, greatness and skill dont equal popularity, in the ring, even his knockouts just dont draw the attention from the american public because:

His opponents, while top opponents, never appear to really be testing him, the weakness within the division makes it hard to appear like there is actually a fight going on. You could easily say its because wlad is dominant and makes them look bad, on the flipside, it also makes it seem like todays champions are so bad, that a methodical fighter like wlad cant be solved due to their lack of skill. Its a little bit of both IMO.

The thing is that wlads opponents are often also foreign nationals, so we dont know who he is fighting half the time unless you are really into the sport. Which most of us are. But ask yourself, which of his last 5 opponents are HOF material? how about his last 10?

This is why the fight with haye was so important because it was a throwback fight in many ways. A guy moving up to the heavyweight division, who had a live punch and a determination to win, something wlads opponents just dont seem to have most of the time. Its why his fights are just so ****in boring (IMO).

It is not his fault that there is no class in heavyweight boxing thesee days, but against the all time greats such as Ali and Foreman in his prime he would be lost.............

                    FAIL

why do ppl bring that up? u know what he means, he means punch you in face, drop you on your ass, looking at the ****ing lights trying to figure out where the **** you at as the ref counts 10, knockouts. he doesnt mean jab a man until he quits between rounds.

i agree american media uses some bs arguments as to why the klits arent great in their opinion. but why answer with equally ******ed arguments only in the other direction? a stoppage doesnt automticly mean excitement, hense the klits KO% is irrelevant.
