Archie Moore didn't have a rap career to manage.

lol at the person who called "Bull****."

This is absolutely true. In May 1955 Archie Moore at 196 lbs by most written accounts battered and outslugged the 6'3" 210 lb number one ranked heavyweight Nino Valdes in route to a decision win. Than in June, he came in at 175 to knockout Olson. He did this many times in the 50s, he took on all challengers to his Light Heavyweight Title while working his way up the Heavyweight rankings to take on Marciano. One of the more domintant and impressive runs in boxing history.

Moore claimed he could gain and lose weight at will by chewing his food and spitting it out, in truth he was just a conditioning freak.

Archie Moore at heavyweight was hardly solid muscle. He was never ripped like Roy Jones, his bodyfat percentage was much higher. Roy had to lose 20 pounds of muscle at probably 3% body fat or less. Archie Moore lost 26 pounds of weight at probably closer to 20% body fat. Thats a big difference. Not saying the Ol' Mongoose wasn't a in muscular, but over that muscle he had a layer of flab.

Really? Unless your only looking at the more well known pictures of the older Moore that fought Ali there is maybe only a marginal difference in muscle mass between the two. Doesn't matter how you spin it anyway, Moore's ability to put on and drop weight while competiting against the best in short periods of time is nothing short of amazing; its not a discredit to Jones that he can't match that kind of legacy, few can. Moore was a one of a kind.

                  Moore/Maxim

                  Jones/Hill

                  Moore/Marciano

                  Jones/Ruiz
