    Tiger Flowers

    What are you thoughts on former middleweight champion flowers, any intresting facts or stories on tiger. From what i have read about him, he was a very intresting character and a true all time great beating greb twice and geting robbed against micky walker

      He was outboxing a near-blind Sam Langford until Langford caught him despite his lack of eyesight.

      A movie of his life was made in 1926 but the film, which included fights of his (as well as footage of Harry Greb), detoriated over time and is now lost.

      He died only a year after Harry Greb did under the same circumstances. Both died from complications of surgery.

        Tiger Flowers is always in the mix when talking of ATG's I would have to do my imaginary list but I would think anywhere from 10 to 25 in mosts list.
        If you wish to know a bit more about him and other MW's turn of the century onwards there was a book out about ten years back Men Of Steel I would recommend.
