** Brilliant fight by Duran who used every single tool in the book of boxing to out-man and out think a highly experienced 29 yr old bull.

Duran was struggling with the pace early in the fight and in spite of clever boxing found himself out on his feet by the end of the 2nd. He comes back and has Castro hurt and out at a couple of points and withstands the bull's big charge in the final round.

WOW, I was gonna go looking for that fight today and it fell into my lap thanks to you. Brilliant Carnera/Godfrey footage as well. Not even the oldtimers got to see many of the fights that we see today.

When I become part of the IBHOF nominating committee, you are gonna be up for the nonparticipant category and I will be twisting arms, ears, and noses my friend.

IBHOF nominating committee? Make your views about Vitali Klitschko public and you just may lose that opportunity if it really exists.

** What grade are you in Timmy?

No need to worry your pretty little cotton candy head. You can tell your mum and your teacher that most assuredly I wouldn't join a band of brown shirted jackboots taking away the right to dissent or engage in intellectual discourse beyond your grade level.

Now, Vitali, he would be a good subject for your coming book report. May have to search for a bio that may need some translation, but no doubt some sympathetic German or East European to provide a synopsis which would greatly improve on your current dumbkoff rating.

Vintgage stuff here. The second bout between Roberto Duran and Jorge Fernando Castro was June 14 1997, it was held in Duran's home country Panama City.

There first fight which was the 2rd Febuary 1997 which was held in Jorge Fernando Castro home country Argentina, which Castro would win a 10 round UD.

Going into the second Duran Fight, Castro had only lost 1 of his last 20 to Shinji Takehara who was 23-0 at the time. He held the WBA Middlweight title and made 4 defences of it and been involed in a fight of the year (94). In the that run he'd beat some good fighters including Reggie Johnsonx2, and John David Jackson.

After this Duran defeat he would go on to challage for two more world titles at Cruiserweight the first one being 99 against then WBC Cruiserweight champion Juan Carlos Gomez, he was stopped in 10. And then 3 years later he would challage then IBF Cruiserweight champion Vassiliy Jirov and lose a UD.

This was a good win for a old school Duran, and his last ever good win.
