Michael Spinks - went undefeated in a talent-rich era of light-heavies, and then became the first light-heavy champ in history to win the heavyweight title. Yet all he's remembered for these days is being flattened by a peak Tyson.

Ezzard Charles is always overlooked by the majority. Their perception of him is always based on his work and accomplishments in the heavyweight division, totally discounting his time in the lower weight classes.

Great subject for a thread Cotto! And where to begin.....

Ruben Olivares, Miguel Canto, Carlos Zarate, Danny Lopez, Jose Napoles, Eder Jofre are just some that come to mind. Esteban DeJesus and Rodrigo Valdez were over-shadowed by Duran and Hagler, but they were good, quality champions.

I always felt that Larry Holmes never got enough recognition. And I know that some will laugh at this, but Rid**** Bowe was also a very good champion. His style would have been hard for anybody, but he's always overlooked in favor of Lennox.
