How can you talk about Wlad like he's in the same league as Dempsey. Who has Wlad beat? Nobody good, nobody. He just fights bum after bum or shot fighter after shot fighter and now suddenly he's some kinda' heavyweight legend..

      I can't wait till he's exposed as a ***** by Haye.

Last time Wlad fought a legit' heavyweight that wasn't a fat bum he got knocked out.
That is exactly what I think, he ain't beat anyone, hes just the king of a division full of **** fighters.

Some of the people on these forums are dellusional.

The HW Division is dead. Its beyond a joke. Infact you cannot find a more ridiculous time when the HW was even closed to bad as this. It's just too difficult to describe how pathetic the modern HW division is.
Sooner people accept that, the better

The only reason the Klitchko brothers seem so "amazingly legendary" as the king of the heavyweight devision is becuase there not scared to actually throw more than 10 punches a round.

But for Dempsey vs Wlad? Dempsey all the way, he fought in an era of warriors, when guys went like 40 rounds and fought until the other was nearly dead.

Wlad fights in an era where everyone is scared to throw a punch and so overweight that they create an earthquake when the hit the canvas.

Even If Wlad stayed outside and tried to outbox dempsey, dempsey would find a way onto the inside and rock him hard. Dempsey was regarded as one of the hardest hitting men in the heavyweight devision at his time. One reporter from a few years back stated that "dempsey was the size of a light heavyweight, and hit as hard as a superheavyweight"

So in the end DEMPSEY BY KO

Unless of course Dempsey used his superior footwork and hand speed not to mention his punching power to counter a lazy left jab or amaturish left hook with his own left hook and comence the downfall. TIMBERRR.

Wlad would be in better condition than the Willard that fought Dempsey but the end result would be the same. Wlad would lean down to throw his jab and get blasted by the Dempsey Roll. Fight over.

Jess was the Klit of the era.

Same height and weight and held his hands in similar fashion. Although Wlad is a better fighter than Jess, Willard has a better chin + heart and stamina. If Wlad keeps Jack at the end of his jab he wins. If Jack gets in with that left, Wlad would be down and out. I'd pick the latter. Be nice to see Wlad fight a decent hardpunching heavyweight who isn't obese.

Ive never been impressed with Dempsey. Tunney outboxed Dempsey, and even though Dempsey was 'past prime' and blah blah Tunney really didnt have that hard a time, other than that long count business. I dont see Dempsey being able to deal with someone who fought like Tunney, except was huge and hit harder with every punch.

I give credit to Dempsey for him coming up with that bob and weaving style, but it was still very raw when he used it, and it had plenty of flaws. other fighters have built upon it since then, and have used it better than Dempsey himself.

Wladimir is no Jess Willard, who only got into boxing when he was in his mid 20s and only had success because he was tall. Wladimir would knock out Dempsey.

So Klitschko is now a master boxer?

                      Wladimir is no Jess Willard.....
Your right. He couldn't take it like Willard.
.....and only had success because he was tall.
                      Wladimir would knock out Dempsey.
Dempsey demonstrated great durability and an Iron chin in the Ring. He's not getting KOd.
