fighters who had great victories after 35......

recently marquez mosley and hopkins had great victories......if wanky wright beats paul williams that would top off a great year for the veterans...

you ever notice how many fighters were done at/before 35....

sweet ray leonard - annihilated at 34
    daris michalshki done at 35
ali was basically at his last legs at 35
rocky and hagler from same town retired 32
roy yones got wrecked at 35 by tarver and glen johnson who were also 35

back to the topic larry holmes beat undefeated ray mercer when he was like 45 or something......and also george foreman but that was a lucky punch....

Hopkins and Foreman of course. And I'm too drunk to think of Holyfield's age details right now.

Bowe and Morales are two of the best examples of fighters who were shot at a young age. Not many fighters make it past their mid-30s intact, especially in the lower weight divisions.

Archie Moore winning the 175 title from Joey maxim and holding it until his late 40's. Glen Johnson can beat anyone today at the ripe age of 39. Mosley's destruction of Margarito.

yeah, those wars with holyfield really screwed bowe, and we all know about morales' hard fights

holyfields durability is fricking unreal, by all rights he should have been utterly shot and done after the bowe fights (nearly was) but he still soldiered on and went to have more wins...unreal

Moorer is my favorite fighter all-time but I still think he was broken down over the stretch of the fight.

Eder Jofre, a natural bantamweight, won the WBC featherweight title from Jose Legra at age 37 and defended it against former champion Vincente Saldivar.

This was 7 years after he had lost the world bantamweight title which he had held for 6 years.
