Thanks for the video, George might not have been the best boxer of all time, but he was better than given credit for. He is using the jab there and setting up the right hand. His hands are too low for my liking but it didnt matter here and he could slip Chuvalo's shots. I think alot of people only saw the Frazier I, Norton and Ali fights and thats where they think that George was extremely slopping and unskilled. Frazer I and Norton fights, George had them hurt early and he was swinning for the fences trying to take them out, so they didnt get to see much boxing and the Ali fight, well Ali pulled out an excellent performance made him look very sloppy and ineffective. But in the first round or so here you can see Foreman was a better boxer than given credit for.
And **** man, Chuvalo was taking a beating there, Foreman was whaling on him, head and body and he wouldnt go down.
Best chin in heavyweight history? Hell no, Give me a break he fought a young wild swinging Foreman was stopped, Frazier stopped him. Did he go the distance with either? No, he would of lasted 10, 12, or 15 rounds with Foreman and Frazier then that would be something special. How many other big time punchers did he face? Ali? Floyd Patterson a blown up super middleweight? The hilarious thing is a fat bald slow Foreman took more and harder punches than Chuvalo took in his whole career.
Chuvalo has a good chin but nothing like you people make it out to be. A person with a great chin is able to walk through big punches with out being hurt period. McCall can say this but Chuvalo could not. But how many big time punchers did McCall face. You have to be able to walk through big punches and you have to be hit by alot of big time punchers to claim you have one of the best chins in boxnig history.
