Speculated that Louis overtrained for the Conn bout, trying to get his weight down so he wouldn't look like a bully, thus having an off night. I've seen comments and clips that would support that and his weight was down for the 1st bout. At any rate, Joe settled any controversies in spades against any unfortunates needing rematches, so it wouldn't surprise me to see Popkins being one of those poor unfortunates.
Can't thank you enough for all the Louis footage you've provided. Joe's relaxed style and exquisite timing probably makes the best all time KO compilation list of any fighter ever. Helps to have a lotta of willing supporting actors giving their all.Comment

At that point I had already made the whole video and didn't really care to find other music to use. I wish I had the time and the patience and most of all the ability to make an even better one...
