    80's promoter with the white navy hat?

    Hey guys;

    I don't have a picture of this guy I am thinking of but I often noticed him sitting at ringside when there were big fights in the 80's and 90's and I think I saw him in a few fighter's corners and in the ring once and awhile too.

    He was a fair sized black guy (Tito Jackson lookin guy) and he always wore a very distinctive white navy officers hat with lots of gold brade. I got the impression that the hat was supposed to be a trademark like Don King's hair cut.

    Can anyone ID this wierd dude? I was always really curious who he was.

    Thanks,
    Mike.

      From the description I dont think it's Butch Lewis.

      I seem to recall some other black dude with a navy hat and some black uniform as well. I also think the guy wore some sunglasses. Hmmmm........ I cannot remember what fighters he were with ATM.
