  • No footage of a prime SRR?

Why is it that there doesn't exist any footage of fights from a prime Sugar Ray Robinson, when there exist even older footage from other ATG?

Is it because nobody cared due to the fact that he wasn't a Heavyweight?

Also in 1951 and in 1952, he was pretty close to his prime and that footage exists. However he wasn't in his best weight class, but you can see why he is called the GOAT. He's a wonder to watch and is so damn good.

Cameras were expensive back then and they were much bigger than a pocket phone! they didn't have enough money to tape every fight. Even some current fighters early fights will not be on tape. Nowadays even small promoters have a camcorder guy so they can sell the tapes to the fighter at least.
