duran vs arguello? coulda?

I know that Duran always says he would have killed Arguello but that's Duran lol. I have read that there was always speculation about them fighting, but I don't think it ever came close to being made. If it did it probably would hvae looked alot like Arguello's second fight with Aaron Pryor.

I agree. Duran was a much stronger body puncher than Pryor, though Arguello was'nt bad himself. Duran was just too strong, fast and intense at lightweight for Alexis. He would wear him down and ko Arguello by round 10. It would've been a great fight to watch.

This fight nearly happened was negotiated an all but Duran was moving up & Arguello moving to light weight at the wrong time.
I see Duran having too much for Arguello he would not be a static target which would make the sometime mechanical Arguello balance look bad Duran would KO Alexis but it would be a great fight bombs would be dropped a lot of body work but no body seems to give Duran credit for his defencive boxing well as Arguello is just a bit robotic.
