i have several fights of Jeff Sims and he was a real ****er who was unfortunate not to KO Earnie Shavers in the opening round, Sims was in and out of prison most of his life and on his release in the late 1970s he turned up in Miami Florida where he met Chris Dundee who introduced him to Angelo Dundee and was hired as a sparring partner for Muhammad Ali at the 5th street gym, while sparring with Ali Sims lost his temper and started kicking and brawling with Ali who floored Sims yet Ali came out of the scuffle with a cut lip which needed several stiches in it, Ali then grew a moustashe to hide the cut and from that day on Jeff Sims was known as,"The man who split the Louiville Lip"..... Sims was shot and killed a few years later.
