Good thing he changed it. "Lights Out" is much more original. Motor City Bad Boy sounds too much like Motor City Cobra.

Interesting that both Hearns and Toney dropped the "motor city" Alias later in their careers.

It didn't suit Toney's personality either.

He used to emulate Hearns when he was introduced as well, sticking his arm out straight at his opponent.

Roberto Duran used to be introduced as Roberto "Rocky" Duran very early in his career before he changed his alias to Hands of Stone or Manos De Piedra.

Tyson was known as "The Tanned Terror" when he was an amateur before changing it to "Iron" Mike, as stated earlier, he used "Mighty" Mike once or twice as well.

Marvin Hagler was originally known as "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler. Late in his career he actually bought the name so he's now officially known as Marvelous Marvin Hagler. Talk about living boxing to the fullest. I wonder what his wife calls him???????

Mikkel Kessler was originally known as Mikkel 'Hitman' Kessler. He later changed the nickname to 'Viking Warrior'.

Floyd only changed his name once he stopped concentrating on shadowboxing and actually saw the mirror.

Kostya Tszyu was referred to as the Babyfaced Assassin in some of his early Oz fights. Probably dropped it after realising he wasn't babyfaced anymore. A bit like Floyd's situation but not as alarming.
