      really? never heard of him joking .. name all the best of that era, i will know of fighters from the 60s just not much about them besides ali

            The 3 names that came to mind are Jofre, Ali, and Griffith.

              You can throw Floyd Patterson in for the first couple years, but realistically, Ali was the king. The early to mid 70s was really when boxing reached another golden age.
