Oscar is 35 years old and a decade past his peak (at #1 p4p in 1998,) he has fought some serious competition in the past, including much bigger opponents like Bernard Hopkins. 9 world titles in 6 weight divisions, I'd say he has earned the right to fight whoever the hell he wants. Hopefully with a tuneup fight this time, he might make the Mayweather rematch a bit better than the first.

Hopkins came down how many pounds to fight De La Hoya?
The catchweight for Hopkins-DLH was 158, but Hopkins managed to get down to 156 anyway.

nobody is forced into fighting DLH. Smart business i guess. DLH is hardly a coward, he's fought larger opponents and challenged himself.
