  • Top 5 Fights: Year By Year

My son is a young boxing fan and I was interested in showing him some boxing fights. I figured we'd go year by year, starting from 1990 so and onward. As I was putting together the DVD's, it got me wondering, what exactly were the top 5 significant fights (action wise and name/hype wise) of each of the past 15 years. Im a fan but some of you on here are practically historians so I figured id bring my question here. Anyone?

Just curious thread stealer, but why did you use every FOTY except for 1999 Paulie Ayala vs. Johnny Tapia? That was a pretty good fight if I remember correctly.

              I haven't seen it.

I think I do have it somewhere in the crates, but I haven't seen it.

                It's an FOTY, and it's better than Holyfield-Tyson I and Gatti-Ward III...

It should definately be on the list.

Hey Thread Stealer, please complete the list from 03-07...

I am still a n00b with boxing, and I actually have been trying to figure out what fights were either good or historical from 1990 and above, so you have helped me out tremendously with it so far, but it would be nice to have some of the new biggest fights too, whether they be action or big matchups.

                  Always more to learn!
