Nobody bet on that fight at Caesar's Palace. Certainly not on Mike since he was a 42-1 favorite. Many casinos didn't even take bets.

I was in my family living room, watching the fight, bugging out.

I was cheering for Douglas the whole night but never in a million years actually expecting him to win.

          like a dream or something...impossible
Yeah, I had the same experience. I watched the fight with my brother and father. I was really pulling for Douglas and even though he was kicking ass round after round, I still couldn't believe it when he KO'd Mike in the tenth. It was so surreal to watch the replays. I remember feeling so much nervous energy during and after the fight that it took me several hours to go to sleep. I just sat up in bed trying to absorb what I had witnessed.

Yeah. When it happened it wasn't just a boxing upset because Tyson had become far bigger than just boxing, it was a cultural upset.

Many folk slit their throats, poured vodka all over their bodies, ran out into the Vegas night, and lit themselves on fire.

I was working that night, so I missed it.

I figured it would be easy work for Mike, but I picked my face off the floor when I heard about it, then I feinted when I saw the re-play.

It's all good, cause I was hopping for joy when Vander laid the 'James Buster' on Douglas in 3 rounds after that.

I was going to school when suddenly it came to my mind tyson has a fight in tokyo against douglas, of course it was expected what round iron mike would ko douglas, then i was walking by i've seen in a frontpage of a newspaper tyson got knockout in 10, i thought it was the other way around since i couldnt believe it, and i've learned it was for real my classmates were talking about the huge upset that whole day.
