collins retired to not face calzaghe, eubanks style was easy for calzaghe and i believe he would have toyed with benn! he beats hearns and duran hands down! hagler is a maybe as proven he struggled against leonards hand speed but calzaghe would keep that up 4 the whole fight not just 30 seconds at the end of each round! as for the others i cant remember who was there! but sugar ray robinson mmmmm... thats an interesting 1! the fightes generations are so far apart it is hard to compare!

      les darcy.

was a middleweight world champ who was also the australian heavy champ.

about 40-4 before he died at 21.

not sure if there is mate.. im sort of fishing for information myself.

he was smashing all the americans who came to aus to fight..

wasnt allowed to leave the country to fight because of WW1 related politics...

he ended up stowing away and going to america.. by the sounds he was the best middleweight in teh world by a land slide.

when he got to america a heap of his fights fell through.. he did alot of sparring (knocked out a guy in 2 rounds who had either beaten or pushed jack dempsey) and then all of a sudden the poor bastard gets sick and dies at 21. reckon he could have been anything but have only ever read about him.

Hagler kicked too much ass man. I think some heavyweights would have been scared of him. LOL!

                    All over the map...

The thread-starter's asking way to many (4) questions in one thread with an attached poll:
                    1. Who was the best Middleweight?
                    2. Who was the best Super Middleweight?
                    3. If the poll fighters fought each other (in their prime) who would win?
                    4. Who was the best in his prime? (poll question)
My answers respectively (and for what they're worth) are: Robinson, Robinson, Durán, Durán.
