Tyson was finished by 23.
Hagler never left the Middleweight division.
Robinson quit because he got too hot.
Leon Spinks was a bigger disaster than Tyson
Michale Spinks punked against Tyson.
Ray Leonard was man enough to stand his ground... the one time he should have ran.
Whitaker did manage his career wisely, but that meant avoiding a living version of Chavez altogether.
Mayweather makes Whitaker look butch.
Ali fought virtually the same fight every time he went out there.
George Foreman was George Foreman.
^ Not such a bad thing when you consider: Sonny Liston was Sonny Liston.
Everyone talks about Charles almost beating Marciano in the rematch, but when Marciano was almost stopped by a cut (caused by Charles' ELBOW) who got knocked the **** out?
Do you deny it, the best athletes post-WWII are NOT in Boxing?
Who's the Black Willie Pep? Who's the Black Mickey Walker? Who's the Black Harry Greb? Who's the Black Benny Leonard? Who's the Black Roberto Duran? Who's the Black Lomachenko?
Remember, even though it's been turned into a sport, Boxing originated as fighting. that's clearly something Black folks have been uncomfortable with. It's just their biology. All you need to do is open up any history textbook and see that.
That doesn't mean that there haven't been great Black Boxers. Or that there can't be good Black baseball players, or Quarterbacks or Soccer players. It's just not where their skills traditionally reside.
