anyone knows the cause of death?

i've heard by many it was a ******* overdose or he poison himself

His death was officially ruled to be a heart failure, but the needle tracks on his arm suggested some to call it a heroine overdose, BUT there was some really shady circumstances that would make you believe that foul play was involved. Like for one, Sonny was known to have a nearly extreme phobia for needles, in fact he once turned down a shot at doing an exhibition overseas because they said he had to get shots first, so many don't buy the heroine overdose story. Many believe that he owed the mob or some other underworld entity and they took out the former champ.

if you have serious debts with the mob, and you don't have nothing to pay them back even if your scared of needles you would kill yourself.

cause of death : suicide, reason: didn't have the money to repaid the mob so he committed a UD

Well I know Liston did own several guns so I would have thought he'd have picked another form of suicide if that was the case. There are many ways of commiting suicide and I think the needle way would be low down on his list of methods.

I don't know sounds pretty shady to me. If I was afraid of needles I wouldn't shoot up it shoot my brains right out my head. Espaciaaly with the mob on my ass. I bet he got into a hole that he couldn't buy his way out of and somebody killed him. CASE SOLVED!!!

When he was in Las Vegas, he was involved with a very important mob boss of that area, "Don". Liston came up to him and slapped him on his back hard. The Don said don't do that. Liston slapped him on his back again, and he said, I'm warning you, don't do that. Liston slapped him for the third time. The Don looked at Sonny and said, "I'm gonna have you killed!". Three weeks later he was dead, with needle marks in his back. Liston hated needles of any kind.

My guess is that he was poisoned to death by the "Don's" henchmen, and then they stuck needles in him after he was dead, to make people think that he had a drug overdose.
